My own bucket list includes Iceland and a trip back to Australia. I was only in Australia (Sydney, to be exact) fo ra few hours in 1999 and the tour people put me up in a hotel in the city's red-light district (!) as my connecting flight to New Zealand was not until the following morning. I want to get back to NZ too as I have friends there. Within the U.S., there are places I want to go to simply to be able to say I've been there! I am curious about those places, though. One place I want to get to is California (LA, to be specific, because I got a good vibe, believe it or not, from the place just from being outside at the LAX airport on my way Down Under!). I want to visit other places in Canada too - Vancouver, for one. I understand it is a beautiful place.

When you come out to SF, I'd be happy to show you around. Plan some time in the South Bay (San Jose and environs), too.

Cultural Travel Tours

Wonderful post of speaking over the travel on Baltimore Diary. I use to get travel to Syndeny now a days. It really feels good there. Thanks for sharing.

The Cast

  • Wife
    Formerly GF. Self-explanatory, I think.
  • S & B
Our former next-door neighbors. Their given names begin with neither S nor B, although the names that everyone calls them do begin with S and B. Go figure.
  • Wee One
Wife's daughter, who is almost eighteen years old. An artist and aspiring actress who spends an inordinate amount of time getting physical therapy. She'll be starting college in the fall. We'll be in debtor's prison by the spring.
  • Daughter
My 25-year-old daughter, a college graduate from SUNY New Paltz and working in the world of theater, making props. Currently her work can be seen on the campus of the University of North Carolina in Durham, with the Playmakers.
