That was lovely, Claude. So sorry for the loss of your friend,

Maureen Rushton

I couldn't have said it any better Claude. You were blessed to have been close enough to see her often. I really am going to miss her immensely.

Laibey

You were both lucky to have such a friendship. What else can any person ask for than to be loved that way? Thinking about you and Aime, and you know I'm here if you need anything.

Edina Brayton-Carter

That was a beautiful ode to Aime, Claude. I have been in shock since Geoff called me on Friday. It's very very hard to accept that she is really gone. I thought she would live forever. I wake up everyday thinking everything is okay then the reality punches me in the stomach and I lose air. I want more than anything to be at her memorial but I can't. I am so grateful that I was able to see her. You and Shannon meant so much to her!

The Cast

  • Wife
    Formerly GF. Self-explanatory, I think.
  • S & B
Our former next-door neighbors. Their given names begin with neither S nor B, although the names that everyone calls them do begin with S and B. Go figure.
  • Wee One
Wife's daughter, who is fourteen years old and, like so many others of her age, going on twenty. An artist and aspiring actress who spends an inordinate amount of time getting physical therapy.
  • Daughter
My 21-year-old daughter, now a college graduate from SUNY New Paltz and working on a gig-to-gig basis in the world of theater.
